Super Full Moon 2018

Blessings to you! We begin the year off with some potent power!

The Full Moon is exact in Cancer on January 1st at 6:24pm PST | 9:24pm EST.

The name 'Wolf Moon' comes from Indigenous Tribes of North America, who gave names to each of the moons, in relation to their qualities connected to nature and the seasons. This particular moon was when the wolves would appear in the middle of winter, howling with hunger in villages.

Wolf Medicine, representing ‘Teacher’, great wisdom, wildness and inner freedom is beckoning our attention. Maybe you are already feeling it in your bones and are ready to dance and howl! This Wolf Moon reminds us of the importance to express our heart's truth and our wildness, to live feeling free.

Connected with Cancer, this moon mirrors the importance of 'Home'. The home that is our own body temple, our physical dwelling place and being at home on this planet. Cancer moon reflects to us, the importance of honouring the waters of our physical and emotional bodies and amplifies our deepest soul feelings.

It can illuminate the shadows that need clearing / healing / transforming and also, there is much Grace and assistance present for shining into our fullest potential and making way for quantum leaps of awakening within as we cross into 2018.

Whether you are howling or softly humming, may you honour all parts of yourself now to be in the supportive embrace and amplified energy of this Super Moon.

2018 NEW YEAR FULL MOON RITUAL

Empty Presence: Be quiet & still for 10 mins. Listen. Feel your heartbeat. Breath deep. Be present with yourself.

Honouring 2017: What do you celebrate and honour about yourself from the past year? Whether this related to your personal/business/love live. And. What were your greatest lessons and how can it serve you now?

Releasing 2017: What are you laying to rest from 2017? What is ready to be burned or buried? If needed, let yourself release the emotions of 2017 with all the feels. Whether this is a cry, scream or sigh. For reals. Emotional Cancer supports us to release held emotions in the body. This is a healthy way to cleanse the emotional body and opens us up to the next level of deep wisdom to move through us.

Creating 2018 with Magick: Create an altar representing all you are calling forth for 2018 and/or place a 'Wishing Bowl' with your written or creatively drawn intentions under the moonlight to be amplified. Key: Focus on how you wish to feel along with any specific things you desire to come to fruition. Place an apple (or any other fruit) beside it and eat it the next day to assimilate the Magick into your Being.

Remember: Put out your gem stones and jewels in a window or in water for cleansing, renewal and activation.

Commune: Gather is an intentional way with loved ones and do any of the above together and create your own. Now is a time to be with the energy of the collective.

Full Moon rituals can be done the day before, of and after the actual full moon. This is the 3 day potency period. Blessings to you in this wondrous and magical time.

Wild Moon Love, Achintya

Gemini Cold Moon

GoddessRIsing Mystery School.png

The Gemini Full Moon is exact on November 22nd at 9:40pm PST / November 23rd 12:40am EST / 5:40am GMT

This full moon, governed by the Element of Air, is simultaneously a descent into your innermost chambers to release the past and a celebration of gratitude for all the blessings of the past year. This paradox is a Gemini moon code revealing opportunities for multi-faceted communication cosmically, internally, relationally, emotionally and spiritually that can offer personal transformation and healing in our collective consciousness (particularly relating to our ancestral bloodlines) and Mother Earth.

The full moon asks us to humbly illuminate our personal shadows and integrate them into the Light by taking responsibility for anything that needs expressing, amending, releasing or forgiving through communication. This communication may be with yourself or others from the past (including your ancestors). In this dualistic medicine of Gemini, it is also the time for us to gather and rise in the power of our sovereignty and communicate our gratitude and sacred desires through prayer, song, dance, words and actions. When we direct the power of our mind's intentions through the lens of the heart by giving thanks we activate healing and transformation within and all around us, birthing into being the world we want to live in.

Cold Moon Attributes

  • Tarot: The Sun

  • Herbs: Holly, Fir, Mistletoe

  • Colors: Blood red, White, Silver, Forest green

  • Stones: Turquoise, Blue Topaz, Black Tourmaline; Hematite

  • Animals: Bear, Deer, Wolf, Robin, Snowy owl

  • Goddesses: Ixchel, Kali, Hathor, Hecate, Frigga

  • Medicine: Hibernation; Rebirth of the light; Darkness; Connecting with loved ones; Yule: Winter Solstice; Darkness; Turning within; Shadow work

The 'Cold Moon' traditionally refers to the December Moon, as was tracked by Native American cultures. Some tribes called it Long Nights Moon, referring to the longer nights before Solstice.

Gemini Ritual Suggestions

  • Share: Write a letter or make a phone call to a person that you need to communicate with in to feel complete. Express your truth with heart and sincerity.

  • Burn it: Write a list of the communication/thoughts that are happening inside your head that you are ready to shift. Beliefs, stories, habits, all that you wish to leave behind in 2017. What are you letting go of? Free it up. Give it voice. Let it out. Let it go and burn it (safely) with a candle or campfire or fireplace. Then proceed to ritual below.

  • Stand in your Illuminated Vision: Let your visions come to life! Go deeper from the above ritual. With the space created from what you released, it's now time to get creative with making a 'vision board' of your medium (whether visually with a painting or drawings or dance or write in your journal) and express your truth, dreams and visions, and all that you wish to bring more attention and energy to for yourself and for the planet. Place this out into the moonlight/speak it/sing it during the full moon window.

  • Gem Stone Reminder: Put out your gem stones and jewels in a window or in water for cleansing, renewal, and activation. Place an apple and glass of water in the moonlight and have it for a 'Moon Wisdom' breakfast the next morning.

  • Commune: Gather in an intentional way with loved ones and do any of the above together and create your own. Now can be a powerful time to be with the energy of the collective.

NOV full moon and thanksgiving //Samhain

Art by Susan Seddon Boulet

Art by Susan Seddon Boulet

The New Moon arrives November 18th at 3:42 am PST // 6:42 pm EST in the deep water sign of Scorpio. This is Lunar Samhain (when the Dark Moon and Sun are both in the sign of Scorpio).

This moon is a time that beckons us to move from head to heart and from heart to the dark waters of the womb space. The theme for the next moon cycle is honouring yourself as the Wise Woman in this Queen of Death portal, giving your body rest and descending into the depths of your emotional & soul wisdom. This is a powerful invitation from the Great Mystery to step into the unknown, let go, let the Goddess and allow yourself to be held.

It is a time to do less and be more. Scorpio mirrors to you the medicine of connecting with your passions and emotions that lie within your womb space and dream space and to truly feel them. To listen to them. To honour them and welcome organic insight. Now is a time of the sacred pause, dissolution and hibernation. Powerful gifts await you, when you slow down, rest into the deep unknown and follow the flow of your intuition.

Scorpio, Eagle & Phoenix Blessings unto you in this Lunar Samhain.

Lunar Samhain Rituals

If you didn't already do any of these rituals from Hallow's Eve. They are powerful to do now.

Take off the Mask:  Feel into any ways that you may be inauthentic with yourself and any masks that you may be wearing that aren't serving the essence of who you are. Draw or paint these out or write them down and then lay to rest any of the false faces that you may be wearing. In this way, the more you peel away the masks that aren't you, the more you can rise into the truth of who you are, right now, and emerge more fully as your radiant self.

Honour Your Ancestors:  Write down all the things you are grateful for about your lineage. The gifts you have received. The lessons you have learned. Perhaps you may wish to create an altar for your ancestors. In your unique way, create the space to offer gratitude to those that came before you and acknowledge them for the wisdom that now flows through you. They LOVE it if you make something delicious and offer it to them!

Fire Release Ritual:  You may also wish to connect with the parts of your lineage that may be less than joy-filled. If you desire, you can get in touch with the part of you that feels angry, sad, frustrated and confused about what your bloodline or lineage has passed down to you and offer this into the fires of transmutation (by literally building a fire or safely using a candle). You can write these down or say them out loud, or both. Then, move your body and make any desired sounds to finalize the release. When complete, you can offer any authentic words of forgiveness, empathy, and realizations.

Seed Your Dreams:  Give yourself the gift of moving from your head to your heart and heart to womb space. It's an auspicious time to FEEL your dreams. Your goals. Your desires. Scorpio is all about feeling. Bring any visuals or ideas about what you'd like to experience for your life into the visceral experience of your body. In this way, you are sending out messages to the universe to magnify these experiences into your life. Take some time to literally experience how your desires and dreams FEEL in your body. There is nothing to do right now, except feel. If insight comes for action, wonderful. But please give yourself permission to just be. This is truly the magick of creating your life.

Taurus Shaman's Full Moon

The full moon in Taurus is full of magick on Friday, Nov 3rd at 9:23pm PDT, Nov. 4th at 12:23pm EDT if you're on Eastern and 4:23am GMT.

This Shaman's Taurus Full Moon simultaneously illuminates the innermost chambers of our body as a temple to experience cosmic bliss in celebration of love, is a time of expressing gratitude to Mother Earth and all the blessings of the past year, and is an invitation be the grounded action needed for transformation and healing in your personal life and the collective consciousness (particularly relating to ancestral bloodlines in the realms of pleasure, sensuality & sex).

Taurus Moon (sensuality) + Scorpio Sun (sexuality) =  one of the most potent sign combinations in the zodiac! This is an alchemical union of primordial and mystical energy that can set your soul on fire into ecstatic freedom!

This full moon asks us to illuminate our shadows related to sensuality and sex and 'weed' out what isn't serving. This also relates to how we treat Mother Earth, ourselves and each other. There is a powerful portal open for prayer, forgiveness, celebration, self-love, sensuality, eroticism and embodied bliss. With the sun in scorpio, this full moon shines on our deepest feelings and sacred desires related to pleasure, orgasm, connection and freedom. It's time to sing, dance, make love, create acts of celebration, and express your feelings with your body. When we direct the power of our intentions in this way, we activate healing and transformation within and all around us. With our prayers and grounded visions, we assist in bringing into being the world we want to live in.

Ritual Suggestion

FULL MOON WATER BLESSING FOR SELF LOVE & FOR THE EARTH

Water is sacred. Water is the giver of Life. Water is the transporter of energy. Water is the vehicle for change. Water represents the power of both giving and receiving. Water births new life, hydrates us, cleanses us, washes us, nourishes us. Without water, we would not exist.

Water can receive and hold the vibrations that we emanate through our unique frequencies given by voice, words, intention, and thought. This water is both the living bodies around us as streams, rivers, rains and ocean, as well as the water that we are made up of.

This month's ritual is focused on the power of our Love (Taurus ruled by Venus) with the Waters of our Earth (ruled by the Moon).

This can be done individually or in a group setting. If you can be beside a river, the ocean or a stream, this is the most ideal setting. If not, that is fine too. It is preferable that you be outside. Again, if not, create a lovely setting inside where ever you are.

Items you'll need:

  • Lit candle(s)

  • 2 bowls or 2 cups of water

  • Pen & paper

  • Gemstones or crystals you feel called to (esp the stones mentioned above)

You can use the following as inspiration for your own Water Blessing Ritual. Please feel free to adjust as you see fit, while keeping the integrity of the intention intact.

1  Create sacred space outside on the earth if possible or in your home with lit candles, sage for smudging, and set up an altar (simple or elaborate) with items that are special to you, including gemstones and crystals, flowers, plants, images, and art. If you are in a group, gather in a circle and place the altar in the center.

2  If you are outside, stand or sit under the Moon. Allow yourself to feel a direct relationship to Her, as a mover of the living waters of the Earth and within your own body. If you are inside, see if you can be near a window with her moonlight shining through.

3  Feel the earth under your feet and shake out the tension in the body. Smudge yourself/others with sage to wash away the day and purify your energetic body. Do a grounding exercise (such as conscious breathing in silence for a few minutes), to bring you out of mind chatter and into your body and ritual space.

4  Place the 2 bowls or 2 cups of water in front of you, or in the middle of your gathering on the earth or on a table (preferably from a live body of water, if not then use purified water or tap water).

PERSONAL ASPECT OF THE RITUAL

5  Acknowledge what you are grateful for in 3 different areas of your life. Relationship to self, Spiritual Path, Partnership, Career, Family etc... Write down what is it you value about each area and keep this with you or at the altar space during the full moon night. This magnifies your gratitude and creates more abundant gratitude.

6  Then, while being very honest with yourself, identify any habits, thoughts, patterns, and behaviors that you are ready to release so you can step more fully into the gratitude/qualities from above.

7  Write down what it is that you want to release onto paper and then one or two at a time, burn it from the fire lit by the candle at the altar. Safety, please!

8  Allow yourself to feel the transfer of what you're releasing to the fire of the candle. Then place the burned paper into one of the first bowl or cup of water. If in a group, focus on the 'letting go' into the water. If in a group, can holds hands in a circle while each person as a turn, if that feels good to you.

9  When everyone is complete you can then offer a song or chant related to the power of death and release. You can chant the sacred syllable Om 3 times as you offer these waters of release from the first bowl or cup to the Earth. This signifies the old being composted and used as nourishment for Her sacred soils.

COLLECTIVE ASPECT OF THE RITUAL

10  Bring the 2nd bowl or cup of water into your hands (or who ever wants to go first). Infuse into the water with your intentions and prayers for the waters of earth and the waters of humankind. This can be done in silence or with words. It is your authentic intentions from your heart that matter most. This is the most important part of this Water Blessing, as water receives your vibration and frequency.

11  If you are in a group, pass the water around the circle so that each person has a turn to share their vibration and offerings into the water. If this is a large group, you may wish to have 2 bowls going around at once in both directions or have a time keeper so that each person has an equal amount of time to share.

12  When everyone is complete, you can offer a song or chant here in celebration and affirmation of all that was shared that is now infused in the water. You can hold hands and chant Om Lokah Samastah Sukino Bhavantu 9 times or chant for several minutes. This is a Sanskrit prayer that translates to ‘May All Beings Everywhere Be Happy And At Peace’ (pronounced Aum Low-ka-ha  Sa-mas-ta-ha  Sue-key-no  Bavan-too),

13  You can then offer this sacred water, infused with all your prayers, first to everyone present by taking a little sip of water or simply anointing yourself on the forehead and heart. Make to truly take in and receive the power of the collective blessings within you. Then offer the rest of this water to the body of water you are beside while continuing to chant. As an option you can end with Om Shanti Shanti Shanti 3 times, which translates to Om Peace Peace Peace. Feel the power of your prayers flow into the waters of our Mother Earth. If you are not near a body of water, you can offer the water directly to the Earth beneath you or let it evaporate into the skies.

14  Complete by holding hands (if you are in a group or at your heart if it’s just you) with the words, “In the name of God/Goddess and all that IS, it is done. It is done. It is done. Blessed be, Blessed be. Blessed be. And so it is.” Or, you can use whatever closing feels resonant for you. Celebrate your release, renewal and the power of the water blessing by sharing a food, songs or dancing under the full Moon!

15  You can allow the lit candles to keep burning as a symbol of transformation through the night if it’s safe. The flame is a purifier, and symbolizes the sparks of inspiration and transformation. OR blow out the candle when you are fully complete.

16  If you wish to share inspiration or photo images from any part of your FULL MOON EARTH & WATER BLESSING RITUAL, we welcome you can share in our Facebook Group: Goddess Rising Sisterhood or on Instagram by using the hashtag #goddessrisingsisterhood or #goddessrising

Samhain Rituals

Blessings fellow Priestesses and Witches! Samhain (pronounced "sow" - "when") is the cross-quarter Holy Day on The Wheel of the Year, half way between Autumnal Equinox and Solstice that marks the beginning of the Celtic New Year in the Priestess traditions and in many cultures around the globe. It is the end of one cycle and the beginning of another as we enter into the dark and stillness where all creation dies and begins anew.

All Hallow's Eve is October 31 and marks the opening of the Samhain portal that extends until the new moon of November 18th this year. This is time to honour those that walked before us on the path of life and give our respect to our ancestors through offerings and deep listening. The medicine during this liminal portal is truly about connecting with the unseen realms and our own unconscious to deeply feel the emotions, beliefs and feelings that lie in the deep watery realms of the soul that we tend to discard.

Instead of casting away sadness, anger and grief, it's an invitation to greet these parts of ourselves with compassion and integrate their wisdom into our lives. We can access clear sight see into the darkness the illusions that may be holding us back, choose what wishes to remain, and what needs to die a sacred death. We have the opportunity to dive into our subconscious and affirm our courage to sink into the Womb of the Mystery. To let go and let the Goddess.

Blessed Be as we dive in deep!

Love Achintya
