Taurus Shaman's Full Moon

The full moon in Taurus is full of magick on Friday, Nov 3rd at 9:23pm PDT, Nov. 4th at 12:23pm EDT if you're on Eastern and 4:23am GMT.

This Shaman's Taurus Full Moon simultaneously illuminates the innermost chambers of our body as a temple to experience cosmic bliss in celebration of love, is a time of expressing gratitude to Mother Earth and all the blessings of the past year, and is an invitation be the grounded action needed for transformation and healing in your personal life and the collective consciousness (particularly relating to ancestral bloodlines in the realms of pleasure, sensuality & sex).

Taurus Moon (sensuality) + Scorpio Sun (sexuality) =  one of the most potent sign combinations in the zodiac! This is an alchemical union of primordial and mystical energy that can set your soul on fire into ecstatic freedom!

This full moon asks us to illuminate our shadows related to sensuality and sex and 'weed' out what isn't serving. This also relates to how we treat Mother Earth, ourselves and each other. Is there communication needed to make amends with yourself or others from the past (including your ancestors)?

Taurus moon (ruled by Venus) activates our earthy, sensual nature! It is time to delight in and take exquisite care of our bodies and the body of Mother Earth. There is a powerful portal open for prayer, forgiveness, celebration, self-love, sensuality, eroticism and embodied bliss. With the sun in scorpio, this full moon shines on our deepest feelings and sacred desires related to pleasure, orgasm, connection and freedom. It's time to sing, dance, make love, create acts of celebration, and express your feelings with your body. When we direct the power of our intentions in this way, we activate healing and transformation within and all around us. With our prayers and grounded visions, we assist in bringing into being the world we want to live in.

Ritual Suggestion

FULL MOON WATER BLESSING FOR SELF LOVE & FOR THE EARTH

Water is sacred. Water is the giver of Life. Water is the transporter of energy. Water is the vehicle for change. Water represents the power of both giving and receiving. Water births new life, hydrates us, cleanses us, washes us, nourishes us. Without water, we would not exist.

Water can receive and hold the vibrations that we emanate through our unique frequencies given by voice, words, intention, and thought. This water is both the living bodies around us as streams, rivers, rains and ocean, as well as the water that we are made up of.

This month's ritual is focused on the power of our Love (Taurus ruled by Venus) with the Waters of our Earth (ruled by the Moon).

This can be done individually or in a group setting. If you can be beside a river, the ocean or a stream, this is the most ideal setting. If not, that is fine too. It is preferable that you be outside. Again, if not, create a lovely setting inside where ever you are.

Items you'll need:

  • Lit candle(s)

  • 2 bowls or 2 cups of water

  • Pen & paper

  • Gemstones or crystals you feel called to (esp the stones mentioned above)

You can use the following as inspiration for your own Water Blessing Ritual. Please feel free to adjust as you see fit, while keeping the integrity of the intention intact.

1  Create sacred space outside on the earth if possible or in your home with lit candles, sage for smudging, and set up an altar (simple or elaborate) with items that are special to you, including gemstones and crystals, flowers, plants, images, and art. If you are in a group, gather in a circle and place the altar in the center.

2  If you are outside, stand or sit under the Moon. Allow yourself to feel a direct relationship to Her, as a mover of the living waters of the Earth and within your own body. If you are inside, see if you can be near a window with her moonlight shining through.

3  Feel the earth under your feet and shake out the tension in the body. Smudge yourself/others with sage to wash away the day and purify your energetic body. Do a grounding exercise (such as conscious breathing in silence for a few minutes), to bring you out of mind chatter and into your body and ritual space.

4  Place the 2 bowls or 2 cups of water in front of you, or in the middle of your gathering on the earth or on a table (preferably from a live body of water, if not then use purified water or tap water).

PERSONAL ASPECT OF THE RITUAL

5  Acknowledge what you are grateful for in 3 different areas of your life. Relationship to self, Spiritual Path, Partnership, Career, Family etc... Write down what is it you value about each area and keep this with you or at the altar space during the full moon night. This magnifies your gratitude and creates more abundant gratitude.

6  Then, while being very honest with yourself, identify any habits, thoughts, patterns, and behaviors that you are ready to release so you can step more fully into the gratitude/qualities from above.

7  Write down what it is that you want to release onto paper and then one or two at a time, burn it from the fire lit by the candle at the altar. Safety, please!

8  Allow yourself to feel the transfer of what you're releasing to the fire of the candle. Then place the burned paper into one of the first bowl or cup of water. If in a group, focus on the 'letting go' into the water. If in a group, can holds hands in a circle while each person as a turn, if that feels good to you.

9  When everyone is complete you can then offer a song or chant related to the power of death and release. You can chant the sacred syllable Om 3 times as you offer these waters of release from the first bowl or cup to the Earth. This signifies the old being composted and used as nourishment for Her sacred soils.

COLLECTIVE ASPECT OF THE RITUAL

10  Bring the 2nd bowl or cup of water into your hands (or who ever wants to go first). Infuse into the water with your intentions and prayers for the waters of earth and the waters of humankind. This can be done in silence or with words. It is your authentic intentions from your heart that matter most. This is the most important part of this Water Blessing, as water receives your vibration and frequency.

11  If you are in a group, pass the water around the circle so that each person has a turn to share their vibration and offerings into the water. If this is a large group, you may wish to have 2 bowls going around at once in both directions or have a time keeper so that each person has an equal amount of time to share.

12  When everyone is complete, you can offer a song or chant here in celebration and affirmation of all that was shared that is now infused in the water. You can hold hands and chant Om Lokah Samastah Sukino Bhavantu 9 times or chant for several minutes. This is a Sanskrit prayer that translates to ‘May All Beings Everywhere Be Happy And At Peace’ (pronounced Aum Low-ka-ha  Sa-mas-ta-ha  Sue-key-no  Bavan-too),

13  You can then offer this sacred water, infused with all your prayers, first to everyone present by taking a little sip of water or simply anointing yourself on the forehead and heart. Make to truly take in and receive the power of the collective blessings within you. Then offer the rest of this water to the body of water you are beside while continuing to chant. As an option you can end with Om Shanti Shanti Shanti 3 times, which translates to Om Peace Peace Peace. Feel the power of your prayers flow into the waters of our Mother Earth. If you are not near a body of water, you can offer the water directly to the Earth beneath you or let it evaporate into the skies.

14  Complete by holding hands (if you are in a group or at your heart if it’s just you) with the words, “In the name of God/Goddess and all that IS, it is done. It is done. It is done. Blessed be, Blessed be. Blessed be. And so it is.” Or, you can use whatever closing feels resonant for you. Celebrate your release, renewal and the power of the water blessing by sharing a food, songs or dancing under the full Moon!

15  You can allow the lit candles to keep burning as a symbol of transformation through the night if it’s safe. The flame is a purifier, and symbolizes the sparks of inspiration and transformation. OR blow out the candle when you are fully complete.
