Planting Moon Scorpio Beltane

Traditionally, Beltane is a Celtic fire festival, half way between Equinox and Solstice, in celebration of fertility, the rites of passion and the waking of Mother Earth from winter's slumber into the blossoming of Spring. Thus, this full moon is known as the Planting Moon and is an invitation for you to also blossom into the fullness of your passion and pleasure.

With the moon in Scorpio, we are navigating through the 'fiery' watery depths of ourselves, to know, but mostly to feel what our truest desires are. You are being called to set yourself aflame, with the translucent light of the moon, to spark the passion that lives within you and release any beliefs and programming (whether from society, religion, or self etc) that keep you from FEELING your pleasure and passion and LIVING your fullest potentials.

Now is the time when our deepest fears can come to light, to see them and transform them. This week, welcome in these fears if they surface, and embrace them. See them for what they are, and set yourself free by jumping through the fires of your desires and dance in celebration of your heart truth. Make love to life (however you may choose) with passion and pleasure and embody the essence of your feminine power.

Planting Moon Attributes

  • Tarot: The Lovers
  • Herbs: Elder, Mint, Rose, Mugwort, Thyme
  • Colors: Green, Brown, Pink
  • Stones: Emerald, Malachite, Amber, Carnelian, Moonstone
  • Animals: Cats, Lynx, Leopard, Swan, Dove
  • Goddesses: Maia, Venus, Aphrodite, Artemis, Bast
  • Moon Medicine: Creation, Love, Intuition, Divine Connection, Connection with Nature, Sexuality, Sensuality Beltane

RITUAL SUGGESTIONS

  • Make Love to Life: Whether this means literally making love with intentional celebration of your creative forces and pleasure, or metaphorically, this is time to put your hearts desires into motion. Dance. Paint. Sing. Play music. Weave. Craft.
  • Release With Mother Earth: Get into Nature. Take off your shoes. Breathe in the air and remember that your cycles mimic Hers. Give your limiting beliefs and fears to the Earth with movement and voice, write them down and burn them. Welcome in transformation and all the feelings inside of you that make you feel GOOD! Move in that direction.
  • Sacred Elixir Making: Traditionally Beltane is celebrated with Mead, a honey wine, representing the nectar of the heart. You can drink this or create your own rendition of a Beltane Elixir. Combine cold mint/ rose/tulsi tea with honey and bubbly water and you've got a simple and delicious elixir. Place it in Full Moon light and drink in all that you are great-full for. Let is wash away your limiting beliefs and fears as you sip in the celebration of your feminine essence and being ALIVE.
  • Handfasting: This is a form of marriage unto a beloved with a commitment of one year. Every year the vows are then renewed, or not. Take some ribbon or string or a bracelet that you already have, and infuse it with your commitment to yourself this year. Make a marriage, a commitment unto yourself to living your desire, your passion, your truth.
  • Remember: Put out your gem stones and jewels in a window or in water for cleansing, renewal and activation. Place an apple and glass of water in the moonlight and have it for a 'Moon Wisdom' breakfast the next morning.
  • Commune: Gather in an intentional way with loved ones and do any of the above together and create your own. Now can be a powerful time to be with the energy of the collective. See invitation below.

Full Moon rituals can be done the day before, of and after the actual full moon. This is the 3 day potency period. Blessings to you in this wondrous and magical time.

And Now For The Lunar Eclipse Download...

The Penumbra Lunar Eclipse takes place at 4:48am PST in 4 degrees Libra. During this potent eclipse portal, we become illuminated to the light and shadow qualities within our relationships. The relationship we have to ourselves, to each other, our beloveds, family, community, the Earth and all her creations.

Our energetic and emotional bodies become sensitive and are heightened with deep wisdom when we pay attention. And Moonlovers, it's time to pay attention! This Eclipse is a significant gateway for healing, transformation, and shifting with empowering endings and fresh beginnings in regards to relationship, how we relate & connect, and how we create beauty, balance, justice and harmony in our inner and outer worlds.

Feel into the connection you have with yourself, with your dreams, to your global family, to the Earth. What are you grateful for in these relationships? What lessons and insights do you bring with you from last season into this next cycle? What needs to be eclipsed, composted, shifted, transformed?

Consider how you can support yourself to navigate through this deeply powerful celestial terrain to feel centered and balanced... How can you bring beauty to all situations and relationships? How can you accept and integrate both the light and the dark?

SEED MOON ATTRIBUTES

ECLIPSE RITUAL SUGGESTIONS

  • Cleanse:  Whether you are moving from Winter to Spring in the Northern Hemisphere or from Summer to Autumn in the Southern Hemisphere, the Equinox can be the best time of year for a cleanse to support healthy transitions. When we cleanse the body, we also cleanse out the mind and release baggage and beliefs that are of dis-ease. If you choose to cleanse this season, be wise about what one choose. Do your homework. Investigate & get support. Grab a beloved or join a group cleanse.
  • Make Space: Time to go through your cupboards, closet, garage etc... and let go of the excess. Spaciousness feels so good and you open yourself up to more internal power and creative life-force.
  • Be Still: With so much frequency shift happening now, simply closing your eyes to pay attention to your breath to pause for 5 minutes will do wonders for your nervous system (especially if you can do this 3 times a day, and longer than 5 if possible. Do what you can). Make sure to get a long and full sleep.
  • Tea Medicine: Drinking Tulsi & Gotu Kola herbal tea will soothe your nerves and calm your spirit. This also allows you to open up to magical and bountiful blessings being offered.
  • Journal Power: Write in your journal all that you are releasing from last season and all the lessons and insight that you can bring with you into the next season. Write out all that you are greatful for and what qualities you would like to embody for the next quarter of the year. Place this out into the moonlight/speak it/sing it after just after the eclipse happens.
  • Burn It Baby: From the journaling above, you can write a list of all that you wish to release. Free it up. Give it voice. Say it out loud. Let it out! Let it go and burn it during the eclipse!
  • Wear a Head Covering: During these eclipsing time, so much energy is swirling around. Wear a hat, tuque, wrap or creative head covering to avoid leaking out all your precious subtle energy and keep it inside.
  • Commune: Gather in an intentional way with loved ones and do any of the above together and create your own. Now can be a powerful time to be with the energy of the collective. (See invitation below).

Virgo Sage Moon

What do we take with us from winter's wisdom into spring? What do we leave behind? The Sage Moon Archetype is represented by the High Priestess and Virgo is the Divine Feminine and the 'Virgin'. In this Full Moon, we are called to illuminate Self Sovereignty. The word 'virgin' originally meant "whole unto oneself". What does it mean to be sovereign unto oneself? What does it feel like to be in our full power? At this full moon, we are asked to explore with a mystical lens (Pisces Sun) all the ways in which we give our power away and how we can reclaim it.  The moon reflects to us the importance of activating our inner discernment, wisdom and intuition to ground our visions and dreams to earth. This is to embody our Wise Woman/Sage/Priestess.

The portal is open for us to reclaim our power by taking responsibility for our actions, thoughts, and spoken words. At this time, we are summoned to the mindset/paradigm of choosing, creating and being accountable.

Step forth, dear one, to ask for what you need, express your heart with authenticity and celebrate the power of your emotions, wisdom, value and intuition. Now is the time to create and design your human experience from a grounded place of focused intention, service and beauty woven with mystery, the non-linear and the magical. There is great insight and healing when we pay attention to both our dreams and the signs right in front of us!

This is our Moon Medicine.

MOON ATTRIBUTES:

  • Tarot: High Priestess
  • Herbs: Hyssop, Balm of Gilead, Myrrh, Sage
  • Colours: Light blue, Violet
  • Stones: Amethyst, Jasper
  • Animals: Otter, Eagle, Unicorn
  • Goddesses: Brigid, Quan Yin, Diana
  • Medicine: rising energy, purification, new growth, honoring and forgiving yourself, self-love, accepting responsibility, future planning and design

MOON RITUAL SUGGESTIONS:

  • Embrace The Heart: This can be a very intense part of the lunar cycle. Be patient with all the emotions you are feeling at this time. Breathe into them. Give them a safe resting place and a healthy funnel of expression. Be gentle with yourself.
  • Seva: Practice selfless service by doing something for someone else (maybe even a stranger) that would brighten their day.
  • Express Yourself: Whether through voice or movement, sing, speak and move from a place of your authentic heart to engage with the current expression of your own body & soul.
  • Gratitude: Now is a beautiful time to reach out and share with others what you are most grateful for about them. Gratitude can also be expressed to oneself and to the Great Mystery with reverence for all our blessings at this time.
  • Intentional Design: Take the reins of your schedule and create some order. Design or arrange your home space to represent your essence.
  • Moon Prayers: With the full moon light, write down or speak your prayers for yourself, loved ones and the planet. The full radiant moon amplifies your word.
  • High Priestess: Make time for quiet and stillness as the moon rises. Meditate in the full moon light and open yourself receive intuitive guidance and support.
  • Reclaim Self Sovereignty:  In your journal, write down out all the ways that you are currently blaming outside circumstances or people for your own discomfort or unhappiness. Take personal accountability by writing down all the choices, attitudes and actions (including non-action) that are keeping you from living your full potential. Write down all that you are ready to release and all that you are calling forth for your present life to move forward aligned to your heart desires and to get your own needs met. Commit to two action steps to make this real for yourself. Now then, get to it. Welcome to Self Sovereignty.
  • Speak In First Person: Practice speaking from your own personal experience, beginning with 'I', instead of saying 'you'. Example: Instead of saying, "When you went into the ocean, you could hear the whales," you would say, "When I went into the ocean, I could hear the whales." This draws energy back into yourself, creates more power in your speech and opens clarity in your body intelligence.
  • Remember: Put out your gem stones and jewels in a window or in water for cleansing, renewal and activation.
  • Commune: Gather is an intentional way with loved ones and do any of the above together and create your own. Now is a time to be with the energy of the collective.

Full Moon rituals can be done the day before, of and after the actual full moon. This is the 3 day potency period. Blessings to you in this wondrous and magical time.

Leo Wolf Moon

Wild Sacred Blessings on this first Full Moon of 2016!

We have begun the year off with some potent power. Welcome to 2016 Full Wolf Moon in Leo (Indigenous Tribes of North America gave names to each of the moons, in relation to their qualities connected to nature and the seasons).

The Sacred Wolf Medicine, representing 'Teacher', great wisdom, wildness and inner freedom is beckoning our attention. Maybe you are already feeling it in your bones and are ready to dance and howl! This Wolf Moon reminds us the importance of expressing our heart's truth and our wildness, to live feeling free. Connected with Leo, this moon mirrors the importance of reflecting our light from within, discovering and sharing our greatest gifts, and expressing our creativity from authenticity to expand in true sovereignty, as Wild Queen!

This full moon also illuminates the shadows that need clearing / healing / transforming, which are often thoughts and beliefs preventing us from living in our wild sacred nature and our fullest potential. When we allow for anything in the way to be revealed, we open a portal to having deep compassion with ourself and others and a quantum awakening within to blaze like a wildfire to live more fully and comfortably with our truth and wild essence.

Note, also at this time, our nervous systems become more sensitive. Our internal projections can be amplified and our intuitive insight is heightened.

Wolf Moon Attributes

  • Tarot: The Star

  • Herbs: holly thistle, nuts and cones

  • Colors: white, lavender,  blue-violet/indigo, black

  • Stones: garnet, onyx, jet, chrysoprase, rose quartz

  • Animals: bear, fox, coyote, wolf

  • Goddesses: Freya, Brigid, Persephone, Inanna, Sarasvati, Hera

  • Medicine: awakening, envisioning, beginning/conceiving, rest, protection

  • Holy Day: Imbolc

Leo Wolf Moon Ritual

This potent ritual is offered in love to your Bright Soul! The intention of this ritual is to empower you in releasing anything that may be preventing you from living in the fullest expression of your Wild Sacred Feminine Essence and rise in the wisdom, beauty, and truth that you are. Blessings to you!

  • Build a fire and bask in the radiant flames. Let the heat penetrate your body. Let the colours into your eyes, empty yourself of thoughts and allow for the flames to guide you deep within. If you can't build a fire, then light some candles and bask in the full moon's light if possible.
  • Write down all the things in your life that you were told you couldn't do, or weren't allowed to do and all the beliefs that arose from that. Take your time with this...
  • Then Reflect on how this makes you feel, speak your feelings, write them down and allow your body to express these feelings.
  • Now investigate how this has affected your life and may still be affecting you. Again, take your time.
  • Then offer to the fire all the parts the beliefs that are not true, that you may have been living with. Honour them for their time with you and now they are no longer needed. Sacred. Deep. Release.
  • Dance Dance Dance! If with a fire, let the heat of the fire soften your body and move in ways that make you feel free and empowered. Dance your truth. Dance your heart and soul.
  • Speak aloud what you are capable of, and the truth of who you are!  Speak your wisdom and what your passions are. You can start each sentence with I Am.... and claim your truth. Run wild with this! When you feel complete (and maybe after many tears...) Repeat, "And so it is!" as many times as you like. This will anchor in and affirm your sacred truths.
  • Finally, write down these truths, so that you can refer back to it when you need reminded of your power.
  • Close with gratitude and long deep breathing. Or, continue in what ever way feels most resonant for you.
  • Remember: Put out your gem stones and jewels in a window or in water for cleansing, renewal and activation. Preferable in salted water (sensitive stones and jewels leave out the salt part).

  • Commune: Gather is an intentional way with loved ones and do the above ritual together if possible for extra potency and support. Now is a such a powerful time to be with the energy of the collective.

Full Moon rituals can be done the day before, of and after the actual full moon. This is the 3 day potency period. Blessings to you in this powerful and wild and powerful time.

How was this ritual for you? Please feel free to share any insights and reflection (or just come say Hi) in our Goddess Rising Sisterhood Facebook Group. If your not already a part of it, we welcome you to join us.

Gemini Shaman's Moon

This Shaman's Gemini Full Moon is simultaneously a descent into the inner most chambers of the spirit to release the past, a celebration of gratitude for all the blessings of the past year and a rising of multi-faceted communication taking place cosmically, internally, relationally, emotionally and spiritually for transformation and healing in the collective consciousness (particularly relating to our ancestral blood line) and Mother Earth.

The full moon asks us to illuminate our shadows and take responsibility for any communication that needs to take place to make amends with ourself or others from the past (including our ancestors). It is also the time for us to gather and rise in the power of our sovereignty to communicate with the earth and the waters. This communication can include song, dance, words, actions and feelings. When we direct the power of our intentions in this way, we activate healing and transformation within and all around us. With our prayers and activated visions, we assist in bringing into being the world we want to live in.

Shaman's Moon/Dark Moon Attributes:

  • Tarot: Death
  • Herbs: Grains of Paradise, Verbena, Borage, Blessed Thistle
  • Colors: Orange, Red, Sea-Green
  • Stones: Topaz, Hyacinth, Lapis Lazuli, Rose Quartz
  • Animals: Crocodile, Owl, Goose
  • Goddesses: Cerridwen, Mawu, Hecate

Ritual Suggestions

FULL MOON THANKSGIVING GLOBAL WATER BLESSING

Water is sacred. Water is the giver of Life. Water is the transporter of energy. Water is the vehicle for change. Water represents the power of both giving and receiving. Water births new life, hydrates us, cleanses us, washes us, nourishes us. Without water, we would not exist.

Water can receive and hold the vibrations that we emanate through our unique frequencies given by voice, words, intention, and thought. This water is both the living bodies around us as streams, rivers, rains and ocean, as well as the water that we are made up of.

This month's ritual is focused on the power of communication (the Air of Gemini) with the Waters of our Earth (ruled by the Moon).

This can be done individually or in a group setting. If you can be beside a river, the ocean or a stream, this is the most ideal setting. If not, that is fine too. It is preferable that you be outside. Again, if not, create a lovely setting inside where ever you are.

Items you'll need:

  • Lit candle(s)
  • 2 bowls or 2cup of water
  • Pen & paper
  • Gemstones or crystals you feel called to (esp the stones mentioned above)

You can use the following as inspiration for your own Water Blessing Ritual. Please feel free to adjust as you see fit, while keeping the integrity of the intention intact.

1  Create sacred space outside on the earth if possible or in your home with lit candles, sage for smudging, and set up an altar (simple or elaborate) with items that are special to you, including gem stones and crystals, flowers, plants, images and art. If you are in a group, gather in a circle and place the altar in the center.

2  If you are outside, stand or sit under the Moon. Allow yourself to feel a direct relationship to Her, as a mover of the living waters of the Earth and within your own body. If you are inside, see if you can be near a window with her moonlight shining through.

3  Feel the earth under your feet and shake out the tension in the body. Smudge yourself/others with sage to wash away the day and purify your energetic body. Do a grounding exercise (such as conscious breathing in silence for a few minutes), to bring you out of mind chatter and into your body and ritual space.

4  Place the 2 bowls or 2 cups of water in front of you, or in the middle of your gathering on the earth or on a table (preferably from a live body of water, if not then use purified water or tap water).

PERSONAL ASPECT OF THE RITUAL

5  Acknowledge what you are grateful for in 3 different areas of your life. Relationship to self, Spiritual Path, Partnership, Career, Family etc... Write down what is it you value about each area and keep this with you or at the altar space during the full moon night. This magnifies your gratitude and creates more abundant gratitude.

6  Then, while being very honest with yourself, identify any habits, thoughts, patterns and behaviors that you are ready to release so you can step more fully into the gratitude/qualities from above.

7  Write down what it is that you want to release onto paper and then one or two at a time, burn it from the fire lit by the candle at the altar. Safety please!

8  Allow yourself to feel the transfer of what you're releasing to the fire of the candle. Then place the burned paper into one of the first bowl or cup of water. If in a group, focus on the 'letting go' into the water. If in a group, can holds hands in a circle while each person as a turn, if that feels good to you.

9  When everyone is complete you can then offer a song or chant related to the power of death and release. You can chant the sacred syllable Om 3 times as you offer these waters of release from the first bowl or cup to the Earth. This signifies the old being composted and used as nourishment for Her sacred soils.

COLLECTIVE ASPECT OF THE RITUAL

10  Bring the 2nd bowl or cup of water into your hands (or who ever wants to go first). Infuse into the water with your intentions and prayers for the waters of earth and the waters of humankind. This can be done in silence or with words. It is your authentic intentions from your heart that matter most. This is the most important part of this Water Blessing, as water receives your vibration and frequency.

11  If you are in a group, pass the water around the circle so that each person has a turn to share their vibration and offerings into the water. If this is a large group, you may wish to have 2 bowls going around at once in both directions or have a time keeper so that each person has an equal amount of time to share.

12  When everyone is complete, you can offer a song or chant here in celebration and affirmation of all that was shared that is now infused in the water. You can hold hands and chant Om Lokah Samastah Sukino Bhavantu 9 times or chant for several minutes. This is a Sanskrit prayer that translates to ‘May All Beings Everywhere Be Happy And At Peace’ (pronounced Aum  Low-ka-ha  Sa-mas-ta-ha  Sue-key-no  Bavan-two),

13  You can then offer this sacred water, infused with all your prayers, first to everyone present by taking a little sip of water or simply anointing yourself on the forehead and heart. Make to truly take in and receive the power of the collective blessings within you. Then offer the rest of this water to the body of water you are beside while continuing to chant. As an option you can end with Om Shanti Shanti Shanti 3 times, which translates to Om Peace Peace Peace. Feel the power of your prayers flow into the waters of our Mother Earth. If you are not near a body of water, you can offer the water directly to the Earth beneath you.

14  Complete by holding hands (if you are in a group or at your heart if it’s just you) with the words, “In the name of God/Goddess and all that IS, it is done. It is done. It is done. Blessed be, Blessed be. Blessed be. And so it is.” Or, you can use whatever closing feels resonant for you. Celebrate your release, renewal and the power of the water blessing by sharing a food, songs or dancing under the full Moon!

15  You can allow the lit candles to keep burning as a symbol of transformation through the night if it’s safe. The flame is a purifier, and symbolizes the sparks of inspiration and transformation. OR blow out the candle when you are fully complete.

16  If you wish to share inspiration or photo images from any part of your THANKSGIVING FULL MOON WATER BLESSING RITUAL, we welcome you can share in our Facebook Group: Goddess Rising Sisterhood or on Instagram by using the hashtag #goddessrisingsisterhood

17  Blessed Be! Blessed Be! Blessed Be!
